Hello Visitor,

Have a Kindle?Kindle

Kindle owners rejoice! Your Amazon device is now compatible with our collection of downloadable ebooks.

Two of the most common questions we get from owners of ebook readers are:
"Why are all the titles checked out?" and
"Why don't you have [book title] available as an ebook?".

To answer the first question - it is a popular service. But when you place holds, we pay close attention to that data, and as the number of requests increase to a certain level, we purchase additional copies of those books.

For the second question- the availability of ebooks is completely dependent on the publisher. If the publisher chooses not to make the book available as an ebook or not to allow libraries to purchase through OverDrive, we are unable to get the ebook. Please know that we keep track of requests and search for the titles regularly to get them when they become available to libraries.

If you have any questions of your own regarding our downloadable service do not hesitate to call our Virtual Librarian at 405-701-2699 or email
