The Summer Reading Program themes revolve around 'night'. Dream Big Read, Own the Night and Between the Covers all explore the coolest time of day to enjoy a good book and to let your imagination go!

Experience some of the best free Summer entertainment this year. Grammy Award winners Sugar Free Allstars will visit each hometown library this year. Greg Rodgers will also visit all 10 locations to amaze listeners with his storytelling skills.

This is just a sampling of the great events for children this Summer. Ask your hometown librarian about how to sign up for the Childrens' Summer Reading Program today!


Special programs this year include Mask Making where you will choose a leather mask that matches your style and design and paint it to fit your personal artistic expression. Some libraries are having Laser Tag games; some are having Vampire 101 programs; some are exposing the science of the night; and all are Dancing into the night with professional dance instructor Jose Bracamontes Ramirez.

Summer Movie Boxes

Have you tried one of the PLS Movie Boxes yet? For no charge you can reserve current DVD or Blu-Ray releases from home, stop by the library & retrieve your disc from the Movie Box. There are movie boxes in Moore, Norman, SOKC & Shawnee.
