Libraries and schools in Oklahoma will be celebrating Teen Read Month in October. This year’s theme, “It Came from the Library,” dares you to read for the fun of it!

Teen Read Month is a time to celebrate reading for fun and encourages teens to take advantage of reading in all its forms—books and magazines, e-books, audiobooks and more—and become regular library users. Check with your hometown library for special Teen Read Month programs.

Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 @ 6:30 - 8 p.m. - Tuesday Tutors: University of Oklahoma students work one-on-one with students to provide assistance with any school subject or assignment. Tutors are open first-come, first-served. No registration required.

Oct. 29 @ 6 p.m. - College Admission & scholarship Essays: Get insight into how scholarship and admissions committees read essays and how to craft essays to effectively gain the attention of these readers. Partnership with the OU Writing Center. Register online or call 701-2630.
