The Purcell Public Library will begin a series of “Tai Chi for Better Balance” classes for adults at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, at the library.

Attendees will learn movements of Tai Chi in an effort to help reduce stress and increase balance and flexibility. The program is designed for people of all levels of mobility and can be performed either standing or sitting. Eight positions will be taught and built upon during the classes.

The series will continue at 10 a.m. on Mondays and Thursdays for 12 sessions, through Thursday, Oct. 17.

Space is limited so advance registration is required to attend.
