Kids are creating in variety of activities

The Blanchard Public Library is building creativity with multiple hands-on afterschool activities planned during September for children at the library.

Programs to look forward to this month are:

Cooking Healthy Pizza for Kids, at 3:40 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17 – Children in pre-K through 5th grades will listen to a cooking themed book and then make their own pizzas. All supplies will be provided.

Lego WeDo, at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18 – For 2nd through 6th grade children, who will use new Lego WeDo 2.0 kits to make STEM, coding and robotics come to life.

Kids Creative Building, at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20Children up to age 11 and build with Legos, K-Nex, Magna-Tiles, Marble Mazes and hears to create unique structures.

Maker Monday Science Power, 3:40 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24 – Children in pre-K through 5th grades will learn about power, electricity, magnets and circuits by completing several fun experiments.

Registration is required for each of the programs with the exception of the Kids Creative Building activity on Sept. 20.
