Build and create in library activities

LegosThe Blanchard Public Library is literally building creativity with multiple afterschool programs coming up for children of various ages.

Upcoming activities in October will include:

Lego Mindstorm Robotics for Teens, at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9 – Ages 12 to 17 will learn the basics of logic programming by building a Lego Mindstorm Robot and then making it perform tasks. Advance registration is required as supplies are limited.

Maker Monday Science Experiments, 3:40 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15 - Children in pre-K through 5th grades will learn about power, electricity, magnets and circuits by completing several fun experiments. Registration in advance is requested.

Lego WeDo 2.0, 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16 - For 2nd through 6th grade children, who will use new Lego WeDo 2.0 kits to make STEM, coding and robotics come to life. Advance registration is required.

Kids Creative Building, 3:40 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18 - Children up to age 11 and build with Legos, K-Nex, Magna-Tiles, Marble Mazes and hears to create unique structures.
