We’re building creativity in November activities

BrainThe Blanchard Public Library is literally building creativity with multiple afterschool programs coming up for children of various ages at the library.

STEM-based programs scheduled during November are:

Maker Monday Science Wonders, 3:40 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5 - Children in pre-K through 5th grades will be looking at the wonders of weather, including tornadoes, snow and volcanoes. Registration in advance is requested.

Maker Mobile: String Climbing Racers, 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13 – The Pioneer Library System’s Maker Mobile visits to provide a lesson to ages 8 to 18 on three-dimensional printing of a string climbing racer using Tinkercad, a cloud-based 3D CAD program. Seating is limited to 10 and registration in advance is required.

Kids Creative Building, 3:40 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15 – Children up to age 11 and build with Legos, K-Nex, Magna-Tiles, Marble Mazes and hears to create unique structures.

Lego WeDo 2.0, 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20 – For 2nd through 6th grade children, who will use new Lego WeDo 2.0 kits to make STEM, coding and robotics come to life. Advance registration is required.
