Great American Read focuses on “The Outsiders”

OutsidersThe Blanchard Public Library’s Book Belles book discussion group continues its foray into the Great American Read in February with a look at the S.E. Hinton classic The Outsiders. The discussion takes place at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at the library.

Claudia Buckmaster, Dean of Humanities at Rose State College, will lead the discussion, which is for ages 18 and up. A light meal will be served before the beginning of the discussion.

Copies of the book are available in advance of the discussion at the checkout desk of the library. Registration in advance of the program is not required.

The Great American Read is presented by Oklahoma Humanities and the Oklahoma Department of Libraries through a partnership with PBS and OETA.
