Art in many forms will be in the air at the Blanchard Public Library, which gets spring started with multiple activities for teens.
Scheduled in the last two weeks of March are the following activities:
Poetry Day, 4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 21 – It’s World Poetry Day, and the library is celebrating with an afternoon of creating and sharing poems. Materials are provided but anyone with a favorite writing utensil is welcome to bring it.
Mix’N’Match Collage, 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 26 – Take images from decades worth of magazines to repurpose into a collage guided by using color, form, shape, size and context. All supplies will be provided by the library.
Watercolors En Plein Air, noon Saturday, March 30 – Break through the art studio walks by taking a watercolor activity outdoors (or En Plein Air). Teen artists will step out to the library lawn for a lesson highlights light sources, color mixing, perspective and natural shapes and forms.
Registration is not required to attend any of these activities.
