Read with a new friend

Dog with childrenThe McLoud Public Library is pairing up new readers with certified therapy dogs as part of its reading program “Sit, Stay, Read,” scheduled twice during January, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, and at the same time Tuesday, Jan. 22.

Young readers have a chance to read with a certified therapy dog in an encouraging, positive atmosphere. It’s a program that has been used in multiple libraries throughout the Pioneer Library System.

Registration in advance is required to participate.
