Musical notesBring your dancing shoes as the Moore Public Library presents a series of Argentine Tango classes in February in addition to its popular workout programs offered on a regular basis at the library.

This month’s edition of the library’s new Friday evening series takes place at 6 p.m. each Friday in February. Martha and David Wells, instructors from TangoLife OKC, will lead weekly classes that build on the skills from the previous week. The first hour of each week’s 90-minute program goes over fundamentals of the dance before a dance social in the last half-hour.

Beginner’s Yoga continues at 6 p.m. on Mondays during February. The workouts are designed to increase flexibility, balance and coordination through poses. A limited number of mats will be provided or attendees may bring their own.

The library’s Zumba series is scheduled at 6 p.m. each Thursday and features a high-energy workout done to Latin and international music.

Teens or adults may participate in any of the classes. Registration and a signed waiver are required in advance.

The library’s workout series is funded through the Oklahoma Department of Libraries with a federal grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
