Visit the Newcastle Public Library for its continuing series of Friday afternoon events offered for school-age students on days school is out.
Programs begin at 2 p.m. and the schedule for February features:
Feb. 1 – Crafts for School-Age Kids, with a Valentine’s Day theme;
Feb. 8 – STEM for School-Age Kids, an exploration of glacial movement;
Feb. 15 – Book-N-Cook, featuring the book “Bear and Chicken” by Jannie Ho.
Feb. 22 – Art for School-Age Kids, focusing on the art of Pablo Picasso and the book “When Pigasso Met Mootisse” by Nina Laden.
Supplies for activities are provided thanks to the help of the Friends of the Newcastle Library. Registration is encouraged in advance to attend each event.
