Discover a Universe of Stories at the library

Summer logoThe Newcastle Public Library launches into its Summer Learning Program with its Kickoff Extravaganza, from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, May 29.

The morning will feature come-and-go activities, out-of-this-world snacks and a chance for guests to dress up as their favorite alien in advance of this year’s Summer Learning Program, which has the theme “A Universe of Stories.”

It’s also a chance to get signed up for the Summer Learning Challenge, which can be completed at the library or anytime through the PLS website or through the Pioneer Library System Connect App, available for iPhone and Apple users at the App Store or for Android users via Google Play. The Summer Learning Challenge is available not only for children but for readers of any age.
