Wednesdays bring summer stories

GirlsThe Newcastle Public Library and its staff are sharing their love of reading and literacy with families of preschool children as part of weekly story times, taking place on each Wednesday morning during June.

The library’s Pre-K Story Time, at 10 a.m., provides stories, songs, activities and a craft. It’s geared to ages 2 to 5 but babies and even older children are welcome too.

And for families with younger children, the library hosts Baby Story Time at 11 a.m. weekly. These programs will feature songs, rhymes and stories that appeal to babies aged 24 months and younger and their caregivers.

Registration is encouraged in advance for each of the programs but is not required.
