Families can’t miss with our children’s activities

GirlNorman Public Library Central invites families with children to attend some of the library’s age-appropriate weekly offerings for children.

Scheduled during February are the following:

Mondays – At 10 a.m. is Story Time, geared to ages 2 to 5 with stories, music and fun;

Wednesdays – Families with babies ages 24 months and younger are invited to Baby Story Time at 10 a.m. Then later in the day, our After School Special at 3:30 p.m. features activities for children in kindergarten, first grade and second grade;

Thursdays – At 4 p.m., STEAM Tweens takes a look into technology and more for ages 8 to 12. And at 6 p.m., the Library Music Connection is a story time for young music lovers ages 3 to 7;

Fridays – Rhythm Babies, at 10 a.m., is a music-based story time for children age 24 months and younger and their caregivers;

Saturdays – At 11 a.m. is a weekend version of the library’s Story Time, with activities geared to ages 2 to 5. And at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, a special bilingual activity Cantos y Cuentos (Songs and Stories) is offered for children of all ages.

Registration is not required to attend any of the events.
