Spring Break brings trio of activities for teens

SmoothiesNorman Public Library Central welcomes local teens to spend part of their Spring Break with the library and three afternoons of unique events for ages 12 to 18.

"Oh! Know Your Knot," at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, is an interactive workshop all about learning knot tying. Participants will explore the practical possibilities and uses of knot tying and each will leave with their own paracord bracelet.

Ropes and instruction, as well as light refreshments, will be provided thanks to the Friends of the Norman Libraries, and advance registration is required to participate.

“Let’s Play!” Tabletop Gaming Day takes place from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 20. Teens have a chance to play a variety of tabletop games, from old favorites to new games they may never have seen before in a come-and-go activity. The Friends of the Norman Libraries will provide refreshments for participants and no registration is required.

And at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, will be a Smoothie Creations program. Teens will use a variety of ingredients to be able to make their own unique smoothie recipe using supplies provided by the Friends of the Norman Libraries. Registration in advance is required for this program.
