Group helping its community with Canine Companions

Helping handsLearn more about a way to give back to the community at Norman Public Library Central’s presentation “Canine Companions,” taking place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, at the library.

The event will focus on the mission of Canine Companions for Independence, a nonprofit organization working to provide trained assistance dogs and ongoing support for people with disabilities to work with the dogs.

There will be a presentation with members of the group and graduates of the program, as well as a question-and-answer session.

All ages are invited to attend, and no advance registration is required.
