We’re telling stories through the art of tattoos

Tattoo wingsNorman Public Library East takes a look at the world of tattoos with its upcoming program “Tattoos: Stories in Ink,” taking place at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, in the Community Room of the library.

Licensed tattoo artists Derek Vosten and Sam McCullough and apprentice Rachel Stout from Hall of Tattoos will cover a variety of topics, including the history of the tattoo industry, considerations to think about before getting a tattoo, aftercare and more.

Participants will get the chance to try on temporary tattoos, ask questions and check out a book on the subject, as well as show off their own body art and the stories behind their ink.

Ages 18 and up are invited to attend, and registration is not required in advance.
