Listen up, as it’s a busy month for concerts at the library

Sheet musicNorman Public Library West’s continuing tradition of live music continues in September with multiple concert offerings taking place adjacent to Paisley Café inside the library.

Upcoming events include:

3rd Friday Celtic Night, 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21 – This free music session for performers focuses on traditional Irish and American tunes, and attendees can come to listen or bring an acoustic instrument and join in.

Lunch and Listen, noon Wednesday, Sept. 26 – The duo Miss Brown to You returns to the library for another performance at the monthly lunchtime concert. Miss Brown to You is made up of vocalist/instrumentalists Mary Reynolds and Louise Goldberg.

Folk Fridays, 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28 – John Elisha, blues musician and lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the local band Lazy Rooster Rhythm Company, will perform a solo concert.

Registration is not required in advance to attend any of the performances.
