Heart of Oklahoma Chamber visits for ribbon cutting

Ribbon cuttingThe Purcell Public Library hosted this month's Heart of Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Community Coffee event, which preceded a Chamber ribbon cutting celebrating the library's new public restrooms.

These new facilities replace restrooms that had been part of the original building construction in the late 1970s. They were opened to the public at the beginning of 2019. More than 30 local Chamber members and officials, including Purcell City Manager Dale Bunn and Purcell Public Schools Superintendent Jason Midkiff, attended the event, as well as several Pioneer Library System representatives.

The attendees were able to learn a little more about the library in a presentation from Branch Manager Rebekah Lynam and several PLS staff members prior to the ribbon cutting event.
