Move genealogy research forward with the library’s help

Family TreeThe Purcell Public Library is helping families fill in the gaps in their family tree through its continuing series of Genealogy activities and the resources featured within the library and the Pioneer Library System.

The library offers a weekly Genealogy Help session from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays during August. An experienced genealogist will be available to answer any questions about family tree issues and resources for research.

And a similar version of the Genealogy Help will be offered from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, at the McClain County Historical Museum, 203 W. Washington St.

Ages 18 and up are invited to attend any of the programs, and no advance registration is required.
