Upgrade your career at library's Community Job Fair

People talkThe Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library invites those seeking to upgrade their career to its Community Job Fair, set for 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at the library.

Local employers will be at the event with information and even some onsite interviews for prospective job candidates. There also will be resume and cover letter assistance available at the event, and the library’s Computer Training Center will have computers available for immediate online application process.

There is no advance registration required for the Job Fair, which is for adults or teens of working age.

And potential job candidates can get a head start on the Job Fair by attending the library’s program “Practice Your Interview Skills,” taking place from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18.

Attendees will get the chance to go through a mock interview session with a seasoned manager. It’s a chance for learning about common interview questions, a brief resume review and more. Registration is required in advance for this event, and attendees will be contacted with their exact session time after registering.
