Learn more about applying for the FAFSA at Open House

KeyboardThe Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library presents a day of information and college preparation at its FAFSA Open House, scheduled during library hours from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, at the library.

The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is a form needed for applying for federal student aid, such as federal grants, loans or work study opportunities.

The Open House is an opportunity for students getting ready to attend college in 2019-20 and their parents to learn more about FAFSA through resources to help assist in the process of applying and face-to-face information from a representative from Oklahoma City Community College, who will arrive at 6 p.m. to share information and answer questions about OCCC resources.

The library’s Computer Training Center will be available throughout the day for prospective students to complete their FAFSA applications.

Note that while SOKC library staff can help students get set up on library computers, they cannot advise customers on how to complete their FAFSA forms.

Registration is required in advance to participate.
