5 Minute Film Finder
PLS brings you a podcast highlighting movies available for streaming on library digital platforms. We discuss movies in bite-sized chunks to help you find your next great watch. While the content of our podcast is safe for all ages, the content of the movies we discuss may not be, so listen and view at your discretion.
Each month will feature the following:
Week 1 – “The Sizzle Reel”
A short monthly kickoff episode where we highlight the current themes on Kanopy and Hoopla, share staff picks, and spotlight new releases available in the library’s physical media collection.
Weeks 2 & 3 – Regular Episodes
Our classic Film Finder format returns! Each host gets five minutes to make their case for a great movie available on Hoopla or Kanopy — quick, fun, and packed with recommendations you can watch right away with your library card.
Week 4 – Rotating Special
The final Wednesday of each month will feature something a little different:
Deep Focus: a deep dive into a single standout film
New Releases: a look at what’s just arrived in our library collections
Streaming Spotlight: highlighting a TV series on Hoopla or Kanopy
