Come to the library for Story Time and more

The Blanchard Public Library introduces youngsters to a love of reading and the library at its Family Story Time, with upcoming events scheduled at 10:30 a.m. on Mondays, Nov. 5, 19 and 26.

Each week’s Story Time will feature songs, rhymes, flannel board fun, music and bubble time, as well as sensory activities and craft projects. 

Also featured during November is the library’s bilingual activity Viva GLARt! Grow a Learner Through Art, which will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20. Activities are for ages 5 and under and their caregivers and is a chance for children to learn and develop their brains through simple play.

Young readers also get a great chance to practice their reading and make a new friend through the library’s Bow Wow Books program, offered from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Mondays, Nov. 5, 19 and 26.

Parents or guardians may sign their child up to read to a therapy dog in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Call the library at 485-2275 to reserve a session.
